Geared Heads with the speed of a ball head
The PCH and PCF geared heads combine the speed of a ball head with the fine-tuning only fully geared heads can offer. That means, while having the flexibility of a ball head you still have complete control over the X, Y, and Z axis allowing for repeatability. The geared movements are self-locking and available in any position of the head. The bottom as well as the top rotate 360°. After levelling, the top rotation can be used for panoramic shooting.
Designed to make your workflow a smooth experience
Quick and precise adjustments
Unlock for quick adjustment
Place the head in the position you want
Friction Locks
Unlock the teardrop-shaped levers and the head moves freely around the horizontal and vertical axis. This enables a quick set-up like a regular ball head.
Knobs for geared movements
The large round knobs enable setting in fine increments. When precise leveling of your camera is crucial - like in architecture, interior, and landscape photography – you’ll appreciate this feature a lot.
High level of freedom
The X-axis of the head offers 140° of movement divided into 30° backward and 110° forward tilt. The Y-axis pivots with a similar 140° of freedom, which also comprises of 30° backward and 110° forward. Additionally the top and bottom of the head can rotate freely. All axes rotate over the same point. Opening up the friction locks of the X, Y, and Z axis result in the same flexibility as a regular ball head.

Made with an eye for detail
Cambo Geared head are made with an eye for detail. The smallest elements of the PCF and PCH have been well thought out in order to make working with our tripod heads as convenient as possible.
Spirit levels
No precision without control, four built-in spirit levels are added to level the head when placing the tripod. Furthermore, the strategic positioning of the spirit levels in the top and bottom plate makes levelling your camera system effortless as well, which is useful during panoramic shooting.
Scales
Clear scale indication is provided for all three axes. This feature provides a smooth workflow experience and proofs its worth when reproducing a composition. Furthermore, The top and bottom plate feature indents at every 90° of the rotation
Industry-standard compatibility
PCH and PCF are Arca compatible. Camera systems with an integrated Arca-style rail - such as Cambo Actus and WRS view cameras and the Phase One XT - mount directly onto the geared head. Every Cambo geared head comes with a 1/4" quick release plate to mount your camera of choice.

The PCF, when the smallest movements count
Over the PCH the PCF has the distinction of a geared camera platform. A useful feature when adjustments in extremely fine increments are crucial to your composition. It’s also a valuable asset for panoramic shooting. To facilitate rotation around the nodal point we offer the optional longer quick release plate QR-XL.

Made to carry any camera system
Made to carry the gear you want. Our heads are tough, straight-up and in a locked position our geared heads are able to carry tens of kilos. However, for practical use we recommend to limit the load capacity to 6 Kg (13.2 lbs). Nonetheless, due to their sturdiness these heads are suitable to work with a wide variety of camera systems, light or heavy.
Designed and produced in the Netherlands
As with all our products, parts are designed, machined and assembled in Cambo's facility in Kampen,The Netherlands. Our Geared Heads exist out of a precision-machined aluminum housing with an anodized finish. Inside, the gears of the tripod heads are made from highworthy brass metal. Before processing the brass metal is heated extensively to prevent any deformation during machining and to ensure that the gears are within tight tolerances. The geared movements itself are conveyed by cutting steel shafts.
